Pebbles Valguy - Graves Chateau

On Tuesday, I went to the Castle Valguy. The aim of this visit was to meet on their domain owners Guy and Valerie Loubris. I had already met them several times in recent editions of the Salon des Vignerons Independants in Paris. Each time, Guy Loubris, had proposed to move to the property. On vacation on the Bay, the opportunity was too good.
The day before, I called to announce my coming. Loubris guy told me that bottling some wine would take place the next day and it was therefore a good opportunity for visite.Le next day at 9:15, I was there (the GPS is, in my opinion, essential to get there). The welcome was very warm. While the bottling was in full swing, Guy Loubris took time to show me around the winery and answer all my questions.
After tasting Pebbles Valguy 2008 and 2008 Chateau Loubris taken directly from the tank, I took some pictures that I present below.

The full bottles and appetizers make a trip to 4 minutes on a treadmill. This is the time required for the cap snaps into place before the bottles are lying, storage.

The bottles are stored in large metal bins with a capacity of 600 bottles (foreground). They will spend at least 1 month prior to marketing. We can see Guy and Valerie Loubris (owners) together in the background.

L hâteau Valguy (Sauternes) during aging. The barrels Pebbles Valguy are in a cellar hand. Indeed, yeasts present during the breeding Sauternes might revive the fermentation of red wines.

My visit ended naturally by buying a few bottles of Valguy Pebbles. The very one who had so charmed. So today I offer you a ticket for tasting the 2007 vintage.

Wine Name: Pebbles Valguy

Category: Red wine
Vintage: 2007 Alcohol level
: 12.5%
Cap: Cork, see photo
production Country: France
Region: Bordeaux
Price: 15 €

Wine is open for just over 3 hours. The dress displays a nice ruby. It is clear and bright. Very nice fruity nose with slight woody notes demanding but I feel with notes of blackberries and plums. In the mouth it is the way I like: very smooth. The wine fills the mouth as the velvet goes on language. This is the baby Jesus in velvet pants, if you'll pardon the expression. It's crunchy. The tannins are perfectly integrated. The finish offers a touch of fig, roasted chestnuts and maybe.
This wine has a charm. It undoubtedly will please fans and especially the amateurs who will have the chance to find out.

rating of LGDD for this wine: 16.5 / 20.

And of course, your comments are always welcome.

Diabetis More Condition_symptoms

Béchereau - Lalande de Pomerol

Some time ago, I told you about a wine that had a special sentimental value. It was a wine a First Cotes de Bordeaux, we drink at family meals. I lierai still this wine to my paternal grandfather.
Today is also a wine "family" which I offer the story of tasting. My maternal grandfather was a regular at the Chateau Béchereau. He brought Bordeaux Superieur, Lalande de Pomerol and Montagne Saint-Emilion. Cubiteners purchased, I remember filling bottles, labels and then sticking the seal with red wax.
Incidentally, I reported the discovery of a new magazine dedicated to the wine grower. That's fine. The photos are beautiful, many items and interesting. A disappointment, the magazine is only interested in large families (Lurton, Cathiard, etc.). And great fields (DRC Guigual, Pontet-Canet, etc..). But for this first issue, I conquered.

Wine Name: Castle Béchereau
Appellation: Lalande de Pomerol
Category: Red wine
Vintage: 2004 Alcohol level
13%
Cap: Cork, see photo
production Country: France Region
: Bordeaux
Price: 10-12 €

Wine is open from 2:30 a.m. ET was gently aerated in the bottle.
The dress is very dark, almost black. The edges of the discs take a deep ruby brown Tangier. The nose is flattering. I see some burnt notes (coffee, vanilla, toast, etc..) And berries. The nose is still marked by the wood.
The attack is frank. The wine unfolds well mouth. It revolves around a tannic structure that we feel. Well integrated it with finesse and softness.
The acidity is well marked on the final, a little too much perhaps. It should, hopefully, fade over time.

LGDD's note for this wine: 14 to 14.5 / 20.

And of course, your comments are always welcome.

Chateau Chasse-Spleen - Moulis en Médoc Clos Badon

I'm back in Arcachon. The motivation is therefore to write a ticket. A few weeks ago, a tasting of wines from Bordeaux was held at Lavinia. I went with Vincent. It was very good.
I had the chance to meet Celine Villars the owner of Chateau Chasse-Spleen. The exchange was cordial and interesting. Céline Villars " not make wines to be collected and never drunk. "And while the campaign of 2009 started futures, major labels have virtually all blew prices. Chateau Chasse-Spleen is 20 €. Villars Bravo Céline!

So. Before starting the tasting notes, a point on the vintage. Some of you will say that this is infanticide characterized. I agree. But you see, as I have written repeatedly on this blog, supermarkets are short on wine with several years of aging at their peak. Carrefour de La Teste de Buch is no exception, unfortunately, no exception.
Wine is open for over three hours now. He accompanied the meal perfectly tonight. I use a glass to write this post.
The dress is very dark, and the edge of the disc a nice ruby pulling on rape. The nose is a beautiful expression of young wines with woody scents, flavors of black currant and pomegranate. I drink a sip. The attack is frank. The long cooling has softened the tannins of the wine which I think is portly, though not massive, but not robust Resh. Everything is right and good length. It's nice and balanced. The acidity is present which suggests a good aging potential for this wine.
This wine has obviously been drinking too early. It still offers a fun already important. At this price, it's definitely a case.

The note for this wine LGDD: 16/20.

And of course, your comments are always welcome.
