Bordeaux Château Le Sartre - Pessac-Leognan Beher
Bacchic second discovery of the weekend and a beautiful name not addressed on this blog: Pessac-Leognan. Pessac-Leognan, and reminding its biggest stars: Haut-Brion, Domaine de Chevalier, Pape-Clement, Smith-Haut-Lafitte and .. Carbonnieux. Here, Carbonnieux because the same family who also Le Sartre. I have several Carbonnieux of 2003 in the cellar that have not yet touched. And so it is a good opportunity to approach the "paw Perrin" before opening the classified growths.
A small additional word on the Pessac-Leognan: the production area is favored by a soil extremely rare geological qualities are due to movements of the Garonne there are tens of thousands of years. A micro-climate perfect although the conditions of production of this great land, micro-climate due in part the proximity of a large city.

The wine is purple dress, very homogeneous and shows a good shine. She wears a ruby web disk when the glass is tipped on its side.
The first nose is already a remarkable power, the strength of cabernet speaks. After aeration I feel black fruit notes, always in a roasting whole seducer whose intensity is not unlike the smell of hyacinths that hatch.
I take a good gulp: the attack is fresh and pleasant. The wine, a young and dynamic, well explodes in the mouth and provides a pleasant crunch. A beautiful long red fruits, pomegranate, finally perfect the tasting of this wine. It gives me the standard of a well crafted wine that offers fun for a affordable price. Since it takes!
LGDD's note for this wine very well done: 15.5 / 20.
And of course, your comments are always welcome.
Cheers, NL
